Toddler Group
A new toddler group is being launched at St Andrews on Thursday mornings beginning June 16th from 9.30-11.30. All parents and their pre-school children welcome. Toast and a drink served. Fun and fellowship. Cost 1.50 per adult with child and 20p for any additional child. For further info, contact Jess on 07771 922872
Junior Church
Children are an integral and loved part of the life and worship of St. Andrew's.
Junior Church caters for children of 3-11 though there
is no firm cut-off age.
At present
there is no organised crèche but parents of young children are very welcome to
accompany their little ones either to Junior Church or to use the child friendly
area in the side room if required.
We meet in Church on Sundays during school term at 10 am (except for the first Sunday of each month when the children are in Church for the Family Service.) We are all in for the opening of the service and then the children leave with their teachers for their session in the School, returning for a blessing at the Communion.
We follow a 3-year course of Bible stories, relating
them to our daily life, to our caring for God's world and to justice and peace
issues. Activities include drawing, acting, singing, simple models and even
bread-making. At the end of the service we present what we have done to the
adult congregation who are always very appreciative.
Once a term there is “Open Junior Church” - an exciting
circuit of different activities on a particular theme.
All our teachers are CRB checked, and have regular child protection training.
We welcome new members at any time – just come along for one session or every week.

Group Activities
St Andrew's Rock Solid & Mettle Youth Groups
St Andrews Church operates two youth groups:
Mettle (for school years 10-13) Gets together on Sundays at 6.15 p.m. in the church youth room until 8.15. There is discussion, worship, stuff to eat and drink, and a great chance to make new friends.
Rock Solid (for school years 6-9) Meets on Sundays at 6.30 at Kenthurst Scout Hut in Kenthurst Drive until 8 p.m. We have a great time, playing messy, fun games, talking about stuff the matters to young people and learning more about what Jesus was all about.
All Youth Leaders have been CRB checked. Our Child Protection Policy may be seen upon request.
We also have a bi-monthly Youth Service (usually 3rd Sunday of the month – check services page for details). This is led by Young People for Young People. See you there.
Pram Service
St Andrews hosts a Pram Service on the final Tuesday of each month, starting at 9.15 a.m. and lasting approximately 30 minutes. Refreshments are served beforehand from 8.45. The service is designed for parents/grandparents and carers with pre-school children. We sing songs, tell stories and take part in craft activities, getting little ones familiar with church from the youngest age. There is also an opportunity to meet others from the area who are at home caring for children.
